Groups (beta)
Groups are a way for multiple users to post to a single site about a common interest and are now available as a beta release. You can create, join, and and repost to a group.
The person who creates the group will be able to manage it like a normal site via the dropdown menu in the top right. Anyone who joins (follows) a group can post to it via the normal repost/reblog button (you will be able to create original posts in the near future). We've created a cats group to kick things off since everyone loves cats.
Todo:
- Post directly to a group via the create post page Done!
- Invite-only groups
Update: You can now post directly to any site in your account and groups you follow from the create post page -- use the "Target site" dropdown to select the site or group to post to.
thank you so much, I was thinking about it lately 😭🙏
( could you please add some calendar or something it would be nice to look through old posts but it's too much scrolling though I love it) to the first post ✌️
@skydelan This is planned 😊 -- some kind of thumbnail view to browse through older posts by date/month/year. In the meantime, note that as you scroll, the page number in the browser updates (it'll say something like "?page=5" at the end of the URL) -- you can change that number to a bigger number to jump to that page (to jump straight to page 200 for example).
@skydelan The first post from your site can be found on page 3854 for example: https://skydelan.loforo.com/?page=3854
Thanks so much!!!
I posted something to the wrong group, and now I can't see how to delete it :(
@merelygifted The creator of the group can delete a group's post. I'd try leaving a comment on the post
Thanks again!
Can we have a small arrow near the repost button to allow a post to be quickly reposted to a group without switching accounts? :)
Aaaaaand nevermind :D Though if there was some way to repost to my blog as default and click a separate link to post to group, that would be lovely :D
@8agienny +1 for that! making every repost via list of groups is totally annoying and breaks out user experience :/
@8agienny / @stonerr Agree, we'll work on that.
@8agienny / @stonerr Done (there's an arrow for the selector-repost)
