Mini Update: Block Users from Groups
Group owners can now block users -- this will prevent the blocked user from posting (or reposting) to your group.
To block a user from posting to a group, switch to the group account (with the drop down at the top right) then go to the profile of the person to block and hit the crossed-out circle icon (next to the follow button).
Could you add something like a soft-block/silence feature, which simply excludes a user's posts from your feeds but doesn't block them from all other interactions? I feel it's a little bit harsh to block someone for something as posting too much or in a foreign language but I find myself doing that to a lot of people.
I might be a bit silly, but how to remove/block user from group? Can't seem to find it anywhere.
I'm afraid we have another "disturbing" users (one of them set to private again) spamming in groups with kind of porno content and following random sites.
That's exactly the reason why I desperately need to find this option. And for some reason I cannot.

I’ll look into the spamming user in a few minutes and clear it out
@blog: I thought that would just hide the posts for me. I think this needs to be clearly labled - like options on the group's user list (feature request!).
@8agienny Agreed I realized when writing the instructions above in the comment that it wasn't very intuitive. It was something that was rushed out to give groups a way to deal with the spam but I'll think about how to revise it to be easier -- maybe a page to see all blocked users and add to it.
Thank you once again! :)
@blog, when it comes to regular blocking. Does it affect the selected profile or does it block every profile that user owns? For example, if you have your lofro admin profile with website updates and I choose to block you, would I also stop seeing posts from your 2nd profile containing fine art?
@malikor Blocking is "site" specific, not "user" level. So if a user has multiple sites and you block 1 of their sites, it shouldn't block the other site (friends/follower system is also the same and is site-level).
@blog, thanks! I also noticed that my videos are sometimes stripped of audio when uploading. Is that by design?
@malikor Audio shouldn't be removed but it is muted by default when playing back. You can click the video in the post to unmute
@blog I'm not sure what to tell you. Check out my latest upload, it had audio and after posting it's mute 🤷🏻♂️

@malikor If it's AAC or MP3 audio, like in a standard MP4 file, it should work. More exotic formats may have issues. If you send me the original file, I can see what audio codec is being used and add support for it on Thumbsnap.
@blog, Sure, if it's not too much trouble, I'd love to help improve the website. Here's the original mp4: https://we.tl/t-3pdkrOsUh4
@malikor Strange. I uploaded it to through Thumbsnap and also through Loforo and both have audio: https://cats.loforo.com/qtrse . If you continue to have issues, send an email please
