Comments are here! Loforo now has comments! Reply to any post on the site (on anyone's blog, in /everyone, and /random). You need to be logged into Loforo to comment. We may change that to allow the general public to comment -- let us know what you think.
First. Also notifications for comments (and likes) is in our to-do.
Logged in please - too much noise from people as it is, no need to invite more.
Maybe there could be a function to turn off comments. I don't need them at all.
not about the comments, but could you make it so that at reblog, the post site opens in a new window? so i don't have to scroll back down again the stream of the person i'm reposting from? that would be awesome.
What oneeyed said ;-) Besides this, the site is already now really great and getting better every day and I am excited to see how it will be in some days!
@oneeyed / @sternihans -- Done. Reblog now opens in a new window.
@nextworldplease -- Added to todo
I'm soo happy about this site already. You guys prove what soup.io "could /should be" by just simply answering to people and taking feedback.
Some ideas from me @loforo:
Simple repost (plus icon next to Repost) that copy post as is to personal page (like on soup.io)
Friends and groups?
option for bluring NSFW posts when browsing "everyone"
button to report post
cool front page (with 3 pos
@gorky Thanks for the kind words, we have lots more to come.
1) "Simple repost" - Sorry I'm not familiar with the personal page, you mean a repost that doesn't copy it to the public user blog?
2) Friends follow and ignore are next on our todo. Groups will come later
3) nsfw filter is planned
4) same for report ^
The rest of your comment got cut off sorry. I've bumped up the character limit to 500 for comments now and it'll warn before truncating
@blog When I just tried to like this, it added a Like. Then I also clicked the Follow link, which brought me to the login page (I was logged in a week ago, in Safari 13, no idea why I was now logged out). 1/3
The problem: After logging in, I was brought to my personal page. It would be nice if I could be brought back to the page on which I was when I was redirected to the login page. Using the back button is not good because then, since nothing really reloads, I end up being in the logged-out state again. 2/3
Also, I was now able to Like once more, so you got two Likes from me. Not a big issue, though. The more likes the better, right? :) 3/3
@loforo i think simple repost means repost the post directly to my Timeline without opening IT in a new Windows and having to interact anymore. Just bam, Copy to my Timeline as is
@ver0nika ah I see, I'll work on simplifying the process when we redo the reblog system to track reblogs correctly.
@edelbert I've added the go-back-to-original-page after follow-login to the to-fix list.
The like thing is as designed -- users can like a post without logging-in/signing-up (this is based on IP). Logged in users can like the post under their username hence the double-like
Comments are nice but please don't be too faithful to how soup.io comments worked, that system was awful.
Btw. 500 characters may be too restricted. At least add a counter to let us see how much is left!
Users-only comments, please, and thanks!
